GigLights App Privacy Policy

Overview

GigLights is a DMX lighting control application. This privacy policy explains how GigLights handles your data.

Data Collection

No data is collected. Audio is brought in through a microphone, analyzed, then dropped as explained in the Audio Data section

Audio Data

GigLights accesses your microphone to analyze audio for beat detection and lighting synchronization. This audio data is:

  1. Processed locally on your device in real-time

  2. Never recorded or stored

  3. Never transmitted to any server or third party


Configuration Data

GigLights stores your lighting configuration (fixtures, scenes, chases) locally on your device in:
`%LocalAppData%\GigLights\GigLights-Config.json`
This data never leaves your device.

Network Communication

GigLights may communicate over your local network using:
Art-Net protocol (UDP port 6454) - for DMX over network
sACN/E1.31 protocol (UDP port 5568) - for DMX over network

This communication is limited to your local network and is used solely for controlling lighting equipment.

Data Sharing

GigLights does not:
- Collect personal information
- Send any data to external servers
- Include analytics or tracking
- Share any data with third parties

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the application will remove the application files. Configuration files in `%LocalAppData%\GigLights\` may need to be manually deleted if you wish to remove all data.
